The 2013 camp season has ended and we are very blessed to have made such an amazing impact on basketball programs throughout the country. An amazing total of 150 camps have been conducted this season in 14 states by over 60 talented and dedicated college coaches.
“This was the most successful camp season in Midwest Elite Basketball history. Â We conducted more camps than we ever have in a summer, worked in more states, with more athletes and made even more of an impact on student-athletes and high school programs.” – Craig Doty (Co-Owner of MEB; Rock Valley College)
“The 2013 Midwest Elite Basketball camp tour was incredibly rewarding for all parties involved. Â Team MEB impacted players, got the opportunity to grow as coaches, and got to see all many different parts of the country in the process. Â As an organization, we are very fortunate to have the chance to work with so many high character kids, and well coached programs. Â Although 2013’s summer just ended, I look forward to 2014 for another chance to develop athletes across the Midwest” – Evan Lavery (Rock Valley College)
“My 4th season of MEB brought new experiences and travel starting in Oklahoma and ending in South Dakota. The #TEAMMEB impact made and the response from coaches, players, and social media was outstanding! -Bryce Tesdahl (University of Minnesota-Duluth)
Our coaches also have some insightful advice to follow for the rest of the summer and the rest of your basketball career.
“My advice for all players is to never be satisfied. Â Basketball development is incremental and takes thousands of hours of dedicated work at game speeds to improve. Â Enjoy the successes, learn from the struggles, and use both to grow a little bit each day. Â You’ll never regret the work you put in” – Evan Lavery
“If players continue to take MEB’s 2-3 day message seriously and turn that into 2 weeks, months, or years they will see consistent improvements mentally and physically!” – Bryce Tesdahl
“Campers, always remember to work with true determination and to get out of your comfort zone. Summer break isn’t quite over so there is still time to hit the gym and develop your game.” – Dustin Yung (Central Methodist University)
In conclusion, we want to give a huge thank you and show our appreciation for all the high school coaches and players who keep MEB alive. We thank you for allowing us to share our knowledge of the game we both love.
